Advocates In Education offers two types of Advocacy Agreements.

Full Representation

Full Representation is the most popular and comprehensive type of agreement we offer.

Among many other things, this type of agreement allows us to advise and accompany you to any meetings held at county and state level that pertain to the provision of special education services for your child.

While you are still in the driver's seat, heavily involved and always the final decision maker, you will have someone with you to speak on your behalf, every step of the way.

Entering into a full representation agreement allows for parents to take a much-needed break from what may be contentious interactions with the school.

While we work with you and the school to secure your child's educational needs, you are able to breathe a sigh of relief.  You no longer have to worry about what to do and say, we will do this on your behalf.

Limited Scope

Limited Scope Representation (also referred to by some of our parents as "secret services") means that we work behind the scenes and only handle certain designated parts of your case while you handle the rest. This type of service allows you to pick and choose creative solutions that fit your budget and your unique situation.

This type of support is provided through consultation and/or parent coaching services to support you in securing your child’s Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Unlike full representation, this type of agreement does not involve any direct communication with the school, including attendance/representation at IEP meetings.

In fact, unless you tell them about us, they may never know that you are working with an advocate.
